SCP Design Department Store is a very special event we are hosting during the London Design Festival 2011. We have partnered up with a variety of collaborators to create a relaxed location for the discerning design lover. This website is dedicated to telling the story of the event, the people and the products involved.

At SCP, we love making things, whether it’s products, events, newspapers or microsites, we don’t really mind. We have remained at the vanguard of British furniture design for over two decades by keeping creativity at the centre of our brand ethos. The Design Department Store event is born out of that ethos.

At the Design Department Store you will find a range of new product launches from SCP, Donna Wilson, Gubi, Michael Marriott, Rich Brilliant Willing and Rob Ryan. We also have the launch of the new Max Fraser’s London Design Guide, beer from Truman’s Beer and coffee served by Olympia Express. Michael Marriott is creating a seven metre high street side installation in tribute to Constantin Brancusi and there will also be food, music and plenty of space to sit down, relax and take it all in.

As part of the Shoreditch Design Triangle, SCP Design Department Store is the perfect place to start you visit to the most diverse and interesting area of the capital.
